Job Description: 

SMTS Software Device Drivers Development Engineer :

 THE ROLE: 

We are looking for an SMTS (Senior Member of Technical Staff) Engineer with an obsession for Software/Peripheral Driver development in embedded world. As part of the role, the SMTS Engineer will work closely with other firmware/software engineers, developers and architects across various IPs in leading the designs and implementing firmware that spans pre-silicon and post-silicon for all AMD SoCs.  

THE PERSON: You are passionate about firmware development with creative and effective problem-solving skills, a motivated, self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively in fast paced environments. You have excellent technical communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 • Develop/Maintain tests for functional verification and performance verification at the block level.

 • Build testbench components to support the IP verification. 

• Maintain or improve current test libraries to support IP level testing.

 • Develop, analyze and close the functional coverage. Analyze and close the code coverage. 

• Provide technical support to other teams.

 • Lead or mentor the junior engineers in the team. 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

 • 8+ years of verification experience. 

• Excellent knowledge of SV/UVM.

 • Strong verification fundamentals and strong debugging skills.

 • Good knowledge of assertions and functional coverage coding and closure.

 • Good knowledge on code coverage analysis and closure.

 • Good knowledge of any scripting language. 

• Good Knowledge of AXI Protocols.

 • Experience in formal verification is a plus.

 • Good Communication Skills. ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

• Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
