Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC) has unveiled the Microelectronics and Advanced Packaging (MAPT) Roadmap, a critical guide for advancing chip technology in the face of industry challenges. This roadmap aligns with the Decadal Plan for Semiconductors, which identified five industry-transforming shifts: smart sensing, memory and storage, communication, security, and energy-efficient computing.

The MAPT Roadmap outlines how to achieve these goals by focusing on advanced packaging, 3D integration, electronic design automation, nanoscale manufacturing, new materials, and energy-efficient computing. It's designed to address sustainability concerns, including energy, environment, and workforce sustainability.
