Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of Nvidia, initially made this proposal during a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the United States earlier this year. Huang highlighted the importance of India not just exporting raw data but adding value by building AI capabilities. He recalled PM Modi’s statement, “India should not export flour to import bread,” signaling the government’s push for self-reliance and innovation in advanced technology.
